The second annual Alpha Cup was held in late October at the May River Golf Club at Palmetto Bluff just outside of Bluffton, South Carolina. The group picture is the 20+ brothers that participated or attended this year’s Alpha Cup. In addition to the golf, there are other things to do during the weekend, including a group dinner (pictured). Lee Esler ’83, established the two day event in 2020 which features class competition and plaque going to the winning team. The plaque is constructed from the wood that once cladded the fireplace in the living room at 200 East High. The plaque now bears the names of the 1982 class that repeated champions and is permanently on display in the east study of our Chapter House. The third annual Alpha Cup is in the planning stages and will be announced in the next Alpha Slants.
The winning team for 2021 in the photo are Bob Rowan, Bo Jones, Pete Gilreath and Mike Pfeiffer.
